Entrance
Description: The crowd in the WXWF arena suddenly goes quiet as a slightly superior sounding chuckle cuts across the sound system, followed by short guitar riff, which quickly picks up in speed. One last thing I beg you please, just before you go I've watched you fly on paper wings half way round the world Until they burned up in the atmosphere and sent you spiralling down Landing somewhere far from here with no one else around To catch you falling down And I'm looking at you now I can't tell if you're laughing Between each smile there's a tear in your eye There's a train leaving town in an hour It's not waiting for you and neither am I As Rise Against's "Paper Wings" hits over the sound system, Larry Linford and Cleo Summers step out onto the entrance ramp to a mixed reaction. Not seeming to be bothered by it, Larry knocks his fists against his chest and throws up his arms, showing the double - L's and setting off blue and white pyrotechnics around the Eye. Joe Cleasy: "Being accompanied to the ring by Cleo Summers, from Johannesburg - South Africa, weighing in at 230 pounds: 'The King Of Extreme' Larry Linford!" "Swing for the fences son" he must have told you once That was a conversation you took nothing from so Raise your glass now and celebrate exactly what you've done Just put off another day of knowing where you're from You can catch up with yourself If you run I can't tell if you're laughing Between each smile there's a tear in your eye There's a train leaving town in an hour Its not waiting for you and neither am I Larry makes his way down to the ring with Cleo, until they reach the base of the entrance ramp. The two share a quick embrace, then Larry hops onto the apron and gets in the ring, climbing the turnbuckle. Is this the life that you lead? Or the life that's led for you? Will you take the road that's been laid out before you? Will we cross paths somewhere else tonight? Somewhere else tonight...
Looking out
onto the crowd, he does his usual throat-slit gesture then climbs
down and pulls on the ropes, warming himself up for his match. |
Trademark Moves: (1): Welcome To Joburg - Modified Evenflow DDT, where Larry draws one of his legs backwards before swinging to forward to build extra momentum and drop his opponent on their head. (2): Broad-Jump - Larry uses a Shelton Benjamin-like leap to jump from the mat to the top rope. He either uses this to counter an Irish Whip into the corner or if his opponent is already on the top rope, in which case he'll either hit them with Dragon/German Superplex (If they're facing away) or a Belly-To-Belly Superplex (if they're facing toward him) (3): Quadplex - A series of four consecutive Suplexes, namely an Inverted Suplex, German Suplex, Cobra Clutch Suplex and finally a release Dragon Suplex. Larry often uses this to set up his Diving Headbutt. (4): Zero Cutter - Larry lifts his opponent into an inverted Vertical Suplex before dropping back into a Cutter. (5): Zero Slam - Reverse Angle Slam (6): Six-Colour Salute - Shooting Star Legdrop from the top rope. (7): Crash Landing - Top rope Leg Lariat (8): Superhuman - Springboard Moonsault into an inverted DDT (9) Swandive Headbutt - C'mon, you know what this is. Like Benoit, Larry signals for this by drawing his thumb across his throat. (10) SAS - Corkscrew 630 Senton Splash

Short-Bio: Larry was born and raised in South Africa, becoming addicted to professional wrestling at an early age. He was a decent amateur wrestler at school, but could never really focus on it as his parents demanded he concentrate on his schoolwork.
However, when he finally got to university, he began trying out for one of the local federations, the WWP. When he made it, he immediately began making a name as someone who'd be willing to try anything, no matter how insane (The fact that Mick Foley was his favourite wrestler may have something to do with this).
Four years went by in which he precariously juggled his studies with his career that was going extremely well, but upon graduating, instead of going into your normal nine-to-five job, he decided to devote himself full-time to wrestling.
Considering all the angst, anger, greed and intensity that seem to make up half the WXWF locker room, Larry's easy-going and generally laid-back attitude doesn't exactly make him seem like the ideal competitor, especially his habit of playing video games or reading right before a match. But several losses have made him pick up the intensity and the minute he steps into the ring, he lets go of everything he is outside.
He's especially protective of his manager, Cleo, since she also happens to be his girlfriend. If anyone should think of messing with her, well...Lets just hope you enjoy hospital food.
